Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, patient-centered care. They practice according to evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and uphold the ANA Code of Ethics, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, fostering shared decision-making and goal setting.
- Coordinate safe, quality care by documenting accurately and promoting teamwork within a respectful, inclusive environment.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support professional development and a healthy work environment.
- Promote evidence-based practice, research, and adherence to organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing protocols, managing resources efficiently, and planning patient care across the continuum.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.
- Licenses: RN (Single State and Multi-state Compact), BLS, BLS Instructor, and Provisional BLS.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in technology and basic computer skills.
