Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, providing high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care in a clinical setting. They operate within a framework guided by evidence-based practice, professional standards, and organizational values, ensuring compliance with licensing and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, fostering effective partnerships with patients and families.
- Coordinate safe, high-quality care through interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes.
- Support professional development by completing required education, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor.
- Promote evidence-based practice, research, and compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum, developing protocols and optimizing resource utilization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and respond decisively to emergencies.
- Proficiency in technology and basic computer skills.
- Licenses and certifications: Active RN license (single or multi-state), BLS, BLS Instructor or Provisional.
