Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric – Acute Care

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They utilize evidence-based practices, perform comprehensive assessments, and develop individualized care plans while partnering with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation aligned with clinical standards.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient populations.
  • Partner with patients and significant others through effective communication and education.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care within a collaborative team environment.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and promote evidence-based practices.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote professional development and maintain current competencies.
  • Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and adhere to organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates Degree or Nursing Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Less than one year of clinical experience required; prior direct care experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
