Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric – Acute Care

Role Overview: A full-time RN Acute Care is sought to provide high-quality, individualized patient care in the Surgery/Bariatric unit. The role involves performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, incorporating cultural understanding.
  • Coordinate care through effective interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, promote evidence-based practice, and participate in research activities.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional development and ensure a qualified workforce.
  • Develop and implement protocols to improve patient outcomes and resource utilization.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • GA or Compact RN license, current BLS certification, and at least 2 years of RN experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
