Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN Days – Oncology

Role Overview: Provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care through the nursing process, ensuring individualized, culturally sensitive treatment and fostering strong partnerships with patients and families.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent care tailored to patient demographics and needs.
  • Partner with patients and families via effective communication methods to keep them informed and involved in care planning.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality care documentation and coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and care quality.
  • Support resource management, protocol development, and clinical efficiency across the care continuum.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to develop a skilled nursing workforce and model professional nursing practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Current RN licensure (single or multi-state compact) and required certifications (BLS, ACLS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, with experience in electronic health records like Epic and 3M preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with a commitment to professional growth and quality improvement.
