We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Poison Control Call Center, working days or evenings at Delp Pavilion.
The RN will manage and triage poison exposure cases, assess severity, identify toxic substances, and determine appropriate treatment options. They will provide poison and drug information to health professionals and the public, document cases thoroughly, and follow up as needed.
Qualifications include a high school diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing, previous critical care experience, and licensure as a Registered Nurse with BLS certification. Certification as a Poison Information Specialist is required post-hire. Preferred experience includes ER patient care, Toxic Exposure Surveillance System, and poison center work.
The role requires excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to perform clinical competencies. The position emphasizes a professional, customer-focused approach and may involve serving as a preceptor for students and residents.
