Role Overview: The RN Resident is a new graduate registered nurse participating in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support a smooth transition into professional practice.
Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized, high-quality patient care based on the Nursing Process, collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams, and ensure safety and excellence in clinical practice. Demonstrate teamwork, support performance improvement, and actively engage in professional development, mentorship, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Contribute to developing protocols and optimize resource utilization to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills: Must possess a diploma from an accredited nursing program; a BSN is preferred. Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and an active RN license (multi-state compact or single state). Less than one year of RN experience is required. Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and a commitment to professional growth are essential.
