Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in a clinical setting. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and adhere to evidence-based standards, professional ethics, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities: Perform the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation), deliver individualized care, and promote cultural competence. Foster partnerships with patients and families, ensuring their goals are central to care plans. Coordinate and document safe care delivery, participate in performance improvement activities, and support evidence-based practice and research initiatives. Teamwork & Collaboration: Promote effective interdisciplinary communication, contribute to a respectful environment, and support system-wide shared governance. Participate in protocols, research activities, and resource management to improve patient outcomes. Professional Development: Complete ongoing competency assessments, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and stay current with clinical standards. Engage in performance improvement and protocol development. Qualifications & Skills: Possess a valid RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and relevant clinical experience. Education requirements include an associate or diploma in nursing, with a bachelor’s preferred. Demonstrate strong critical thinking, collaboration, and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
