Role: RN Resident responsible for completing a 12-month Nurse Residency Program to facilitate transition into professional nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, high-quality patient care aligned with Wellstar standards, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams, ensuring safe and respectful communication and documentation.
- Partner with patients and families, considering cultural diversity and promoting patient-centered care.
- Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance to enhance care quality and safety.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor, modeling professional nursing practice and fostering a healthy work environment.
- Support resource management, protocol development, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and cultural competence skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and ongoing professional growth.
