Role Summary: The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical environment. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and support systems like the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, emphasizing evidence-based practice, professional standards, and organizational values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Deliver patient-centered care tailored to cultural and population-specific needs, partnering with patients and families to prioritize goals.
- Coordinate safe care delivery through effective documentation and interdisciplinary communication, fostering teamwork and a respectful environment.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, participate in research, and uphold policies ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor to colleagues, promoting professional development and a healthy work environment.
- Assist in developing protocols, optimizing resource use, and contributing to performance improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Less than one year of clinical experience required; clinical hours from accredited nursing programs are necessary.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
