Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of an interdisciplinary care team, delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They operate under the guidance of Nurse Managers and support systems like the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, emphasizing evidence-based practice and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, respecting cultural differences.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
- Ensure documentation, coordination, and delivery of safe, quality care while promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research and evidence-based practices, and uphold organizational policies and standards.
- Contribute to professional development by completing required education, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor to peers and students.
- Engage in resource planning, protocol development, and quality initiatives to improve care outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Valid RN license (single or multi-state compact) and Basic Life Support certification.
- Less than one year of clinical experience preferred; completion of accredited nursing program required.
- Knowledge of clinical standards, evidence-based practice, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and professionalism.
