This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy Critical Care Step Down Unit with a focus on patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.
Responsibilities:
– Utilize advanced skills including EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
– Monitor patients using continuous telemetry and assist with respiratory support devices such as Bi-Pap, high-flow oxygen, and vents.
– Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PCNAs, interns, providers, PT, and OT.
– Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
– Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
– Current RN licensure in Ohio.
– BLS certification (obtained within 90 days if not already held).
– ACLS certification (obtained within 6 months if not already held).
– PRN requires at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications at hire.
Preferred Skills:
– BSN degree.
– Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
