Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical

Position Summary: This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care by assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes.

  • Assess patient needs and set goals for physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative care.
  • Develop, revise, and implement individualized nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies, and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
  • Document observations, assessments, and interventions accurately.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas, and participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Assist in training new staff and supervise departmental activities.

Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), current RN license, and Basic Life Support (BCLS). ACLS and PALS certifications are required within six months. Must demonstrate critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Physical & Work Environment: Must meet physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, and extended computer use. Work may involve exposure to hazards in clinical settings, with accommodations available for disabilities. The environment includes well-lit hospital areas, with some travel required.
