Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Special Float Pool supporting two hospitals. This full-time night role offers clinical variety across ICU, Emergency Department, and Medical Telemetry. The nurse will provide direct patient care, develop and implement individualized care plans, and promote patient safety and education. The position emphasizes clinical excellence, adaptability, teamwork, and supporting diverse patient populations. The role involves floating between campuses, supporting multiple inpatient units, and participating in professional development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, planning, and care delivery.
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in activities ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum two years of acute care experience.
- Valid RN license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, experience in ICU and/or Emergency Department, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (PALS for ED), telemetry interpretation, and IV therapy skills.
