Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool (Nights)

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care across multiple inpatient units within a float pool at two Magnet®-recognized hospitals. The role requires flexibility and clinical expertise in ICU, Emergency Department, and Medical Telemetry, supporting diverse patient populations and promoting exceptional outcomes through clinical excellence, teamwork, and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with standards and patient needs.
  • Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, medications, and post-discharge care.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities, fostering a culture of patient-centered care.
  • Develop and communicate individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
  • RN license required; BSN preferred.
  • Strong IV therapy skills, telemetry interpretation, and certifications like BLS, ACLS; NIHSS and PALS are advantageous.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a dynamic environment.
