Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool – Night Shift

Role Overview

The Float RN provides versatile, patient-centered care across 65+ inpatient units in a leading academic medical center. This full-time position involves 12-hour night shifts with a $15/hour float differential plus shift differentials, supporting staffing needs during variable patient census and acuity, including high-acuity and critical care areas for ICU-experienced nurses. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, adaptability, and ongoing professional growth, with responsibilities such as assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

**Qualifications include** a current RN license, a minimum of 2 years recent acute Medical-Surgical nursing experience, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include ICU experience and a BSN or enrollment in a BSN program.
