Role Overview:
The Float RN provides patient-centered care across more than 65 inpatient units in a leading academic medical center. This versatile role offers exposure to diverse patient populations and specialties, supporting staffing needs and promoting professional growth. Nurses with ICU experience may assist in high-acuity and critical care areas.
Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications include a current RN license, at least 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical experience, and preferred ICU experience or ongoing BSN education. The position emphasizes safety, independence, and continuous learning.
