Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) will support patient intake, safety procedures, and patient flow in a fast-paced outpatient Crisis Center within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include providing immediate, triage-based care, collaborating with ED providers to manage medication orders, and assisting in patient stabilization while awaiting full crisis evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver patient care within the scope of practice outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Perform assessments, prioritize patient needs, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Provide direct care, delegate responsibilities, and serve as team leader under physician guidance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited RN program and current NY RN license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; must complete BSN within 5 years if hired without one.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
- Ability to recognize and respond to patient care issues and emergencies.
