Role: The RN Clinical Periop Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in the operating room, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure individualized treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities: Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and implements care plans based on evidence-based standards, and evaluates patient progress. Partners with patients and families through effective communication, promotes teamwork, supports performance improvement initiatives, and upholds professional nursing standards and ethical practices. Participates in research, quality improvement, and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hire
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, safety standards, and evidence-based practice
- Strong critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
