Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care – Women’s Unit

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care on the Women’s Unit, focusing on GYN and post-surgical patients. They collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring individualized care using evidence-based practices and current clinical standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—tailoring care to patient needs and cultural diversity.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
  • Coordinate and document safe, high-quality care while promoting teamwork, inclusivity, and system policies.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice activities.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional growth and maintain a competent workforce.
  • Participate in protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (single-state or multi-state compact).
  • Required certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider, and instructor certifications.
  • At least 2 years of direct patient care experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, and technical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and respond to emergencies professionally.
