Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care on the Women’s Unit, focusing on GYN and post-surgical patients. They collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring individualized care using evidence-based practices and current clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—tailoring care to patient needs and cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
- Coordinate and document safe, high-quality care while promoting teamwork, inclusivity, and system policies.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice activities.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional growth and maintain a competent workforce.
- Participate in protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (single-state or multi-state compact).
- Required certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider, and instructor certifications.
- At least 2 years of direct patient care experience.
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, and technical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and respond to emergencies professionally.
