Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Surgery/Bariatric

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under established models and evidence-based standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
  • Partner effectively with patients and families through communication methods like bedside reports and education, focusing on patient goals.
  • Coordinate safe care delivery, ensuring thorough documentation and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment.
  • Engage in team collaboration, performance improvement, and research activities to enhance care quality.
  • Support professional development by completing required education, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and comply with policies and safety standards.
  • Contribute to resource planning and protocol development for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
  • Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
  • Less than one year of clinical experience post-graduation preferred.
