Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care – Perioperative

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within a perioperative setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to meet individualized patient needs. They practice in compliance with nursing standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies, supporting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient demographics.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
  • Coordinate safe, quality care through timely documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance.
  • Mentor and serve as a preceptor to promote professional development and a healthy work environment.
  • Participate in protocol development, resource management, and data collection to optimize care outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates or diploma in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current RN license and certifications including BLS and ACLS.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent, relevant acute care nursing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, and technological skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and respond decisively to emergencies.
