Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Pediatric Medicine

Role: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team, providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting supported by leadership and evidence-based practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
  • Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural needs.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, ensuring patient goals are central to care plans.
  • Coordinate safe, quality care via interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and promoting a respectful environment.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified future workforce, modeling professional nursing practice.
  • Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and resource development to improve patient outcomes.
  • Plan for ongoing patient care needs and participate in protocol development to optimize practice outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
  • Certifications: BLS, PALS, and others as required upon hire.
  • Experience with direct patient care preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in English, computer skills, and technology utilization.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and respond decisively to emergencies.
  • Excellent time management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
