Role: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, guided by evidence-based practice, professional standards, and the Wellstar Values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and individualized care.
- Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families in care planning.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication and documentation, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives, supporting system policies and safety standards.
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor for other nurses and staff, fostering professional development and a healthy work environment.
- Support resource utilization and care planning across the continuum to improve outcomes and reduce adverse events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Current RN license (single-state or multi-state Compact) and BLS certification.
- Associates or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelors preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in English, with basic computer skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, responding decisively to emergencies.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
