Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Oncology (PRN)

Role Overview: This position is for a Registered Nurse providing high-quality patient care within a hospital setting, working night shifts on a PRN basis with a minimum of 3 shifts per four weeks. The nurse collaborates with the care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and compliance with standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, assess, and evaluate patient conditions; assist with care planning and execute care delivery using independent judgment.
  • Coordinate patient care to promote positive outcomes, prioritize patient flow, and document assessments, interventions, and incidents accurately.
  • Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, providing education, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, support change, and contribute to achieving better patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.
  • Maintain professional licenses and certifications, engage in ongoing training, and pursue professional growth and leadership opportunities.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, promote a positive work environment, and uphold confidentiality, safety, and professional standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associates, Bachelors, or Masters in Nursing preferred.
  • Required certifications include BLS and RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact).
  • At least one year of nursing experience is required for PRN roles.
