Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Oncology (PRN)

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in collaboration with the healthcare team. They serve as a key communication link between patients, families, and providers, ensuring patient-centered care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions; assist with care planning and deliver care as outlined, using independent judgment when appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with care teams and document assessments, care provided, and patient responses accurately.
  • Advocate for patients by addressing concerns, providing education, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, support professional development, and uphold confidentiality and safety standards.
  • Mentor and foster growth among nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates, Bachelors, or Masters in Nursing preferred.
  • Current RN licensure and certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) or BLS-Instructor, with multi-state licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience required for PRN roles.

Additional Information: The role involves working night shifts with at least three shifts every four weeks, supporting performance improvement, professional growth, and shared governance activities.
