Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team on an oncology unit. They utilize evidence-based practices, perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and partner with patients and their families to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Deliver culturally sensitive, relationship-based care tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members through documentation, communication, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote professional growth and a healthy work environment.
- Support evidence-based practice, research activities, and quality improvement efforts.
- Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
- Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies professionally.
