Progressive Care/PCU Registered Nurse
Provide evidence-based, high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adults in step-down/PCU settings. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and continuously update individualized care plans. Administer medications, manage IV drips/infusions, and monitor patients using telemetry. Respond promptly to rapid changes in clinical status and intervene to maintain patient safety.
Key duties include:
- Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, effective treatment.
- Educate patients and families on care needs and health management.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Uphold rigorous safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Qualifications/skills: Current RN licensure, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, medication administration expertise, proficiency with telemetry and IV therapy management, and the ability to communicate effectively and act quickly in emergencies.
