This PRN nursing role is based in Milwaukee, WI, at a hospital’s Family Birth Center.
Deliver postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs, promptly addressing any complications. Administer medications, perform screenings, and document care accurately. Educate families on newborn care, feeding, safe sleep, and postpartum recovery, collaborating with healthcare teams for personalized plans. Provide nursing care for gynecologic patients, managing acute conditions and post-surgical recovery. Minimum requirements include an active RN license from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multi-state license, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and an accredited nursing diploma or equivalent.
