Role Overview:
Provides specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Renal Unit, focusing on patient assessment, care coordination, and education. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure safe, timely, and appropriate interventions. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and collect health data involving patients, families, and providers.
- Develop and coordinate individualized care plans ensuring safety and appropriateness.
- Educate patients and families based on thorough assessments to meet learning needs.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts and uphold professional standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Illinois nursing license.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
