Registered Nurse – Per Diem – Cardiac Care

Role Overview: The Inpatient RN provides direct patient care in a high-acuity Cardiac Special Care unit, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies. They develop and evaluate individualized care plans, address patients’ physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care following established standards and policies.
  • Assess patient conditions, formulate and coordinate care plans, and educate patients and families.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and team members, delegate tasks appropriately, and respond to changing patient needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice discussions.
  • Support unit and organizational goals through teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
  • Experience in Cardiac Step Down, including titrating medication IVs, BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to high-acuity, critical care environments.
