Role: Inpatient RN providing direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiac step-down unit.
Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care based on established standards, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies. Develop and coordinate individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and evaluate intervention effectiveness. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, delegate tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in quality and safety initiatives. Promote teamwork, adapt to patient needs, and support organizational goals such as the Magnet mission.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Nursing; cardiac special care experience, including titrating medication IVs, BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen; ability to work in a high-acuity environment. Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
Key Duties: Provide comprehensive care in a 14-bed unit specializing in adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical intermediate care. Maintain compliance with policies, promote safety, and contribute to team and organizational objectives.
