Role Overview: This position is for a per diem Inpatient RN on a 24-bed advanced acute care unit, providing complex care for diverse medical conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, cardiac issues, renal and GI disorders, and postoperative care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs, promoting safety and satisfaction.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and coordinate individualized care plans, including education, discharge planning, and family needs.
- Provide direct care involving treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate proactively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
- Troubleshoot equipment and participate in evidence-based practice decision-making.
- Contribute to quality and safety initiatives and team goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work a minimum of 24 hours per schedule, including weekends or holidays.
