Vascular Surgery PCU Nurse provides specialized post-operative care and monitoring for patients recovering from vascular surgeries in Progressive Care Units (PCU) at multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity PCU nursing care for vascular surgery patients
- Continuously monitor vital signs, clinical status, and relevant post-operative parameters
- Assess patient condition, recognize changes, and initiate appropriate interventions per protocol
- Operate and interpret monitoring equipment to support safe patient recovery
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate plan of care and document outcomes
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and self-management
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of vascular health and post-operative recovery needs
- Proven ability to monitor patients and respond promptly to clinical deterioration
- Competence with PCU-level monitoring equipment and documentation
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork
