Role Overview: A skilled nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care while managing contingencies and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or via compact.
- BLS certification required.
