Role Overview: The Registered Clinic Nurse provides primary nursing support to physicians and patients, assisting with diagnosis, treatment, and patient education to promote understanding and adherence to care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as clinic lead, overseeing clinic flow, staffing, and daily activities.
- Triages patient calls and facilitates appropriate treatment plans with providers.
- Obtains patient medical histories, vital signs, and prepares patients for examinations.
- Assists providers with invasive procedures, collects lab specimens, and manages documentation.
- Administers medications, including IV and topical treatments, and manages IVs and infusion therapies.
- Prepares and monitors patients during invasive procedures, ensuring safety and readiness.
- Inspects diagnostic equipment, maintains sterile techniques, and ensures asepsis.
- Educates staff and patients on treatments, and serves as a preceptor for new nurses.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
- At least one year of RN experience preferred.
- Competent in sterile techniques, medication administration, and patient assessment.
- Ability to assist with invasive procedures and manage medical equipment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
