This role is for a registered nurse on the NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit, a 41-bed, fast-paced environment specializing in acute orthopedic and urology surgical patient care, including trauma cases.
Key responsibilities: Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, manage surgical devices and wound appliances, and coordinate patient care with physicians and therapists.
Skills and resources: Use of wound vacs, drains, traction devices, orthotic equipment, and telemetry monitoring. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient recovery within a short length of stay.
Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, high school diploma or GED, and relevant experience.
