Registered Nurse – Orthopedics Acute

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans. They utilize technology, evidence-based practices, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address patients’ physical and psychological needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate compassionately with patients and families.
  • Oversee care provided by LPNs and CNAs, participating in clinical team conferences.
  • Follow regulatory, hospital, and professional guidelines and documentation standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred or required within four years unless exempted by experience.
  • Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to operate monitors, assess patient needs, and communicate effectively.
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment and supplies.
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist with patient mobility.

Additional Details: The role involves full-time work with variable shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends, with shift differentials.
