Registered Nurse – Orthopedic Trauma Med-Surg

Role Overview:


Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ortho Trauma to provide high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental and state standards. Collaborate with medical teams to assess, perform procedures, administer medications, and document care accurately. Act as an advocate by educating patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring understanding of medical conditions and treatments. The role emphasizes compassionate, personalized care to enhance patient outcomes and experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, promptly reporting changes.
  • Perform procedures, monitor responses, and document care thoroughly.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic effects, and manage adverse responses.
  • Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs proactively.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; BLS certification required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN program with a 5-year completion plan.
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred; advanced degrees and certifications in specialty areas are a plus.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and compassionate care skills.
