This role involves providing independent nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating proficiency in routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingency plans.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering nursing care based on the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administering medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Documenting patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
- Assessing learning needs and educating patients, families, and caregivers.
- Delegating tasks appropriately to care providers.
Qualifications and skills:
- Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
- Active RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Current BLS certification.
