Registered Nurse – Oncology and Infusion

Role Overview:

This position involves providing professional nursing care through independent and delegated medical functions, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The nurse develops strong patient relationships, assesses health data, and prioritizes patient needs. Responsibilities include triaging patients, evaluating emergencies, delivering health education, administering medications, and coordinating care across healthcare services.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and emergency procedures, including medication safety and infection control.
  • Collect and analyze health data to identify problems and plan care.
  • Prioritize patient needs and perform triage via in-person or phone assessments.
  • Evaluate emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families.
  • Execute delegated medical functions, including IV therapy and medication administration.
  • Coordinate and integrate care, manage patient populations, and advocate for patients.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum one year of RN experience, including oncology within the past five years.
  • Graduate of an approved RN program with clinical training.
  • Valid RN license and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Oncology-specific certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred.
  • Strong communication, IV skills, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.

This role may require travel between clinics to meet operational needs.
