Role Overview: This position is for an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) supporting a high-impact, multi-campus care team. The RN will provide personalized, evidence-based nursing care, build meaningful patient and family relationships, and contribute to quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, ensuring high standards of care.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative environment within the team.
- Engage in performance improvement projects, research, and shared governance.
- Lead the application of evidence-based practices and participate in patient care decisions.
- Plan proactively across the patient care continuum, shaping protocols to enhance experiences and reduce readmissions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required); BSN preferred.
- Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact).
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; national specialty certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years recent Med Surg experience and proficiency with computer data entry.
- Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and technological skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, with excellent critical thinking and time management.
