Role Overview: The Med Surg RN supports a high-impact, multi-campus care team in providing personalized, evidence-based nursing care. The role emphasizes building patient and family relationships, driving top clinical outcomes, and fostering teamwork in a respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, ensuring quality care.
- Develop meaningful connections with patients and families, respecting their values and care goals.
- Contribute to performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives.
- Lead in applying evidence-based practices and participate in patient safety and care system decisions.
- Plan proactively across the care continuum, shaping protocols to enhance patient experience and reduce readmissions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current RN license (single or multi-state) and BLS certification; ACLS required.
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg experience and experience with computer data entry.
- Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems (preferred).
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and tech skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, with strong critical thinking and time management skills.
