Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit

Role Overview: The Inpatient RN provides comprehensive patient care, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostics, while addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families. They develop and coordinate individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments in accordance with scope of practice and unit standards.
  • Formulate, implement, and evaluate care plans; revise based on patient responses.
  • Provide direct patient care and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate proactively with physicians, ancillary staff, and other team members.
  • Participate in evidence-based practice decision-making and quality improvement activities.
  • Engage in safety and patient education initiatives to enhance care delivery.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Information: Work involves clinical environment duties, with accountability for job obligations and policy compliance. The role includes rotating shifts with holiday and weekend work.
