Role Overview: This position involves providing high-quality patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, working with a diverse patient population including those with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. The RN will utilize skills such as EKG interpretation, central line care, rescue Bi-pap, high flow oxygen, and assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with healthcare team members including PCNAs, nurse interns, providers, PT, and OT to deliver comprehensive care. Utilize advanced technology and critical thinking to monitor and manage patient needs, delegate tasks, and ensure effective time management.
Qualifications & Skills: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a current RN license in Ohio, and possess BLS certification (obtained within 90 days if not already certified). ACLS certification is required within 6 months. PRN candidates need at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and all certifications at hire. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
