Role Overview: This position involves providing high-quality nursing care as a frontline member of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while fostering a supportive environment. They serve as an advocate, communicate with patients, families, and staff, and ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, assist with care planning, and deliver safe, effective care following policies and procedures.
- Coordinate patient care, prioritize daily patient flow, and maintain thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and incidents.
- Act as a patient advocate by addressing concerns, providing education, and ensuring family and staff communication.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contribute ideas, and support organizational goals for quality and satisfaction.
- Maintain professional licenses and certifications, engage in ongoing training, and seek growth opportunities.
- Mentor and support colleagues, promote a positive work environment, and uphold confidentiality and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), required upon hire.
- 1-2 years of Med Surg nursing experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills.
