Role Overview
Provides comprehensive patient care in various settings by collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate communication to deliver high-quality care while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, and assists physicians with procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients accurately based on medical condition.
- Administer prescribed medications and provide age-appropriate care.
- Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans.
- Utilize nursing knowledge for treatments and services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and assist with procedures requiring technical skills.
- Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge care.
- Practice cost-effective resource management and promote patient safety.
- Commit to lifelong learning in nursing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Computer literacy required; additional certifications like BLS (within 14 days), ACLS/PALS preferred.
- Active RN licensure required.
