This role involves leading and coordinating nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical unit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assigning, educating, and monitoring staff during shifts
- Assessing patient care needs and developing appropriate care assignments
- Collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal outcomes
- Evaluating patient care effectiveness and addressing issues affecting outcomes
- Responding to patient care concerns and participating in staff hiring, training, and evaluation
- Ensuring safety and performing other related duties
Qualifications and skills required:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure
- At least one year of registered nurse experience
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification in the respective state
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform various physical tasks frequently
- Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills
