Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Summary of Role and Responsibilities

This position provides direct and indirect patient care in a Med/Surg Surgical setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. The nurse utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to deliver high-quality services while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Key duties include

assessing patients accurately based on medical conditions

administering prescribed medications

performing treatments and basic self-care support

developing and evaluating patient education plans, including family involvement

assisting physicians with procedures and performing technical tasks

addressing psychosocial needs and coordinating post-discharge care with social services

using cost-effective practices and ensuring patient safety

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Computer literacy
RN license and BLS certification within 14 days of hire
Preferred: ACLS/PALS certifications
