Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Role: The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care, assessments, and planning during a patient’s hospital stay, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include:
• Conducting age-appropriate admissions, reassessments, and documenting findings.
• Developing, evaluating, and modifying individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and tests.
• Administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and coordinating referrals and discharge planning.
• Recognizing changes in patient condition, implementing appropriate actions, and documenting care and changes.
• Delivering specialized care such as restraint and pain management, and assessing for abuse.
• Ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards, while maintaining a safe environment.
• Providing excellent service with effective communication, respecting patient dignity, privacy, and fostering a compassionate environment.
• Participating in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and unit activities.
• Offering age-appropriate care for adult and geriatric patients, and demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills: Valid RN license, BLS certification, and adherence to hospital policies. Ability to adapt to changing demands, work collaboratively, and uphold safety and quality standards. Physical ability for patient care tasks and commitment to ongoing professional development.
